Ball Group is a fashion wholesaler and retailer founded in 1988 which specialises in plus-size women’s fashions under the Zizzi brand. Axcel became the majority shareholder in January 2007 alongside a number of senior employees.
The Zizzi brand has been leading the way in plus-size fashions since 2000 and is one of the Nordic region’s fastest-growing brands in the international plus-size segment with more than 120 stores in Northern Europe.
Zizzi owns 70 stores itself and offers a complete concept with attractive franchise options, including sales and purchasing support, in-store activities, staff training, marketing, PR and much more. Zizzi has also developed its own store design concept to create a lasting and appealing store identity.
Axcel’s development strategy is to expand the company’s retail and online activities in its existing markets while also taking the brand into other parts of Europe.
